Your Role and Responsibilities:
As the Business Development Lead at Xanadu, you will drive our market strategy, expand the quantum computing ecosystem, and cultivate partnerships that enhance Xanadu’s position as a leader in quantum and photonics technology. You will play a pivotal role in evangelizing Xanadu’s products, services, and platforms to a diverse audience, including industry, academia, and government stakeholders.

Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams—spanning product, research, hardware, and business development—you’ll ensure our offerings resonate with customers and partners, delivering clear value and tangible benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Development and Execution:
    • Design and implement business development campaigns for quantum computing, photonics, and software commercialization.
    • Define and build collaborative initiatives with industry, academic partners, startups, and incubators.
  • Partnership and Ecosystem Growth:
    • Secure and maintain relationships with industrial research partners to accelerate hardware, software, and algorithm development.
    • Engage potential and existing customers, articulating Xanadu’s value proposition in quantum computing and photonics.
    • Build and sustain partnerships with event organizers and major stakeholders in the quantum ecosystem.
  • Outreach and Representation:
    • Prepare high-quality presentations for speaking engagements and external stakeholders.
    • Represent Xanadu at industry events, conferences, and panels to promote our vision and mission.
Required qualifications and experience:
  • Proven experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or product management, with a successful track record in building impactful relationships.
  • Strong negotiation skills combined with business and financial acumen.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external organizations.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to achieving goals
Preferred qualifications and experience:
  • MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of physics and quantum computing.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and AI.
  • Knowledge of the full lifecycle of software development, including version control, code review, testing, CI/CD, logging, profiling, debugging, and documentation.
  • Experience with Apache Superset, Airbyte, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, Postgres, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console.
