Client Support Intern:

Reporting to the Manager, Events and Partnerships, the Client Support Intern will support the administration of our partnerships and events.

This is role is part of VFC's commitment to fostering work-integrated learning for Canadian students, in addition to gaining valuable hands-on experience, interns will also receive 1x1 mentoring from our Director of People Operations and Finance, a curated set of learning materials, and participate in professional development groups to further advance skill development. These skill development sessions will focus on relationship building, time management, objective-based working styles, delegation, project planning and execution, working in small teams, and more!

This is a contract position and employment is contingent on funding approval.

Please note, to be eligible for this position, you must:

  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and,
  • have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations; and,
  • be 30 years of age or younger at the time of the internship.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Administrative & Team Support
    • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Events & Partnerships team.
    • Support general team needs and assist with administrative tasks as required.
    • Help track tasks, deadlines, and action items to keep projects moving forward.
  • Organization & Systems
    • Maintain organized, up-to-date files, templates, trackers, and shared folders.
    • Update contact lists and enter information into systems such as HubSpot and spreadsheets.
    • Assist with creating and maintaining internal documentation, including how-to guides and checklists.
  • Meetings & Communications
    • Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, taking notes, and tracking follow-up actions.
    • Draft and send basic emails, reminders, and follow-up messages using provided templates.
    • Prepare and organize partner or speaker information and simple onboarding materials.
  • Events & Partnerships Support
    • Support the preparation of event materials, including run sheets, checklists, and participant lists.
    • Assist with coordinating information for partners, speakers, and participants.
    • Help ensure event-related details are accurate, organized, and accessible.
    • Support in-person events as needed.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Compile simple survey results or feedback into clear summary notes.
    • Review documents for formatting, accessibility, clarity, and consistency.
    • Support the creation and updating of internal resources related to events and partnerships.
  • Travel and evening work as required.
  • Any other reasonable duties requested by VFC.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Interest in partnerships, event planning, and relationship building
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Experience in creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation
  • Ability to lift 40lbs;
  • French is an asset;
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace/Gmail, HubSpot, Slack, Zoom, and Notion are assets;
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Some travel as required.

Salary: $770/Week

Location: Virtual, home office must be within Ontario.

Internship Dates: May 4 2026 - July 24, 2026
