Senior Sales Development Representative

As we enter our next stage of growth, we are looking for a number of Senior Sales Development Representatives to join our team. These positions will report into the Sales Director and offer a hybrid working model based in Calgary, Alberta.

We offer a competitive compensation plan which includes a base salary, commissions, a market leading benefits plan and ESOP grant.

Lightship has been successful in attracting some of the largest companies in the world as clients, and it’s time to expand our footprint in the market. The Sales Development Representative role is focused on finding and developing commercial relationships with prospective clients in our heavy industry target verticals. We’re looking for resources who are resilient and top performers.

Lightship is the backbone software application to connect, direct, and complete work. We automate and systemize best practice, including obtaining the right information to the right people at the right time. This includes an amazing application (web and mobile) to complete work, and all the necessary integrations to make sure information flows to and from legacy applications and systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of one year experience in a Sales Development Role with strong results
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • The ability to have business impact on the phone and to craft well written communication
  • You must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to research and understand the relevance between our product and the prospect’s business challenges
  • Familiarity with prospecting techniques and sales software tools
  • B2B SaaS experience
  • A strong understanding or experience in heavy industry (energy, industrial manufacturing, utilities, construction, mining, and emergency response)
