Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Senior Quality Engineering Manager to lead our testing efforts and ensure the quality of our products for Litera’s innovative product suite. As a Senior Manager, you will be at the helm of multiple teams, driving testing activities and spearheading quality engineering initiatives.
With a keen eye for detail and a passion for optimizing testing processes, you will play a pivotal role in formulating effective testing strategies, devising comprehensive test plans, and managing testing resources efficiently. Key Responsibilities & Duties
Manage a team of Quality Engineers and Automation Engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
Apply industry testing best practices within the team to enhance testing effectiveness including expanding test coverage to include complex test data.
Lead strategic testing related initiatives and projects, providing critical insights and direction to elevate the overall Quality landscape.
Drive release activities within the team, ensuring a high-confidence release signoff.
Responsible for ensuring manual and automation test coverage, overseeing the execution of feature, regression, and performance testing to meet product requirements.
Proactively communicate updates and assume responsibility for delivering quality metric reports to leadership. Leverage data from the reports to identify quality gaps and implement strategic actions to enhance and optimize test processes.
Execute the team's test strategies and plans, ensuring alignment with methodology, resource requirements, and project schedules.
Work collaboratively with development teams to seamlessly integrate testing activities into the overall development lifecycle.
Be responsible and accountable for test reports, analyze quality metrics, and drive continuous improvements based on root cause analysis.
Assess the performance of team members, provide recommendations, and follow up on individual career development plans.
Help drive a quality culture and operational efficiency within the team, collaborating with cross-team stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or Engineering or related field. Master’s in Computer Science and/or Engineering preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience as an Engineer; strong technical skills.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Technology leadership/management position with demonstrated and proven experience leading in a Manager capacity within a Technology organization.
Proven and demonstrated record of building, managing, leading and transforming a high technology team performing team; outlining and defining team goals and objectives, managing employee team performance.
Demonstrate experience in executing and leading Quality Engineering strategies and initiatives.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to provide feedback, grow, hire and retain talented Quality Engineers.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to team members and stakeholders.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide Quality Engineers
Expertise in one or more object-oriented languages, encompassing data structures, design patterns, system architecture, etc., with a proficiency in programming languages like C#, Java, Python, JS, or similar. Familiarity with Terraform, Shell scripting, and PowerShell scripting a plus.
Seasoned professional adept at constructing, maintaining, and enhancing test automation frameworks using industry best practices, including the page-object model, data-driven frameworks, and behavioral-driven development.
Experience with Web and Backend API Services testing
Expertise in establishing automated CI/CD with Azure DevOps
Proficient in crafting test strategies, test plans, and automation strategies encompassing various test types, including Smoke, Functional, Regression testing, etc., utilizing diverse test case optimization techniques. Working knowledge of Agile/DevOps development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
Proficient in identifying and implementing changes to fill metric gaps, with the ability to collate data from diverse sources to create a high-level picture.
Strong leadership with communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to team members and stakeholders.
Comfortable presenting quality initiatives, metrics, and updates to executive leadership and large audiences.

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $125,000 to $140,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Litera offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
