Job Description:
As an integral member of the IMAX Management Team, the VP, Supply Chain & Operations is responsible for developing the Supply Chain Strategy for the production and delivery of million-dollar theatre systems to commercial clients around the globe (90+ countries). The candidate should be an inspiring & influential leader, excellent negotiator, and have strong business and financial acumen. This role leads a diverse team including Production Planning, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, Repair, Warehouse and Logistics Operations. The VP negotiates supplier contracts to secure materials, ensures on-time delivery of materials & manufacturing schedules, achieves targets for inventory levels, cost of goods sold, and cashflow. Additionally, the VP proactively creates contingency and risk mitigation plans to insulate IMAX from global supply chain risks (e.g., Covid, Tariff changes) that could otherwise affect overall product cost or delivery.
What you’ll be doing:
Construct the Supply Chain Operational plan to support the IMAX worldwide installation budget. This needs to include consideration that IMAX Theatre System products are complex and utilize advanced lasers, specialized optics, mechanical and electronic assemblies and the related challenges in shipping and importing to different countries around the world.
Create and drive initiatives to ensure required internal trained resources and uninterrupted supply of materials used in production.
Secure long-term Supply Agreements to guarantee pricing and delivery of key components.
Drive product Cost of Goods savings and delivery efficiencies.
Ensure Business Continuity, succession planning, Employee development, and Satisfaction.
Establish and deliver on aggressive financial and operational targets.
Work closely with the Research & Development, Engineering Teams and cross-functional groups to bring new products to market.
What we’re looking for:
10-15 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and/or Operations coupled with 5+ years in management level roles.
5-10 years of experience leading multi-level teams and functions.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Finance, or related field (Engineering is an asset).
Supply Chain Certifications or equivalent experience.
Strong business and technical acumen.
