Marketing & Communications

Calgary, AB, Canada

Posted on Jul 3, 2026
We're looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist to own our digital paid channels — strategy, execution, and results. You live in the data: you pull it, you question it, you know when it's telling the truth. You see brand and performance as one system, not two departments. You thrive inside a fast-moving creative testing process, and you have real opinions on measurement — including where it breaks down. Above all, you're obsessed with winning: finding the unlock, not just the optimization. You'll work closely with content, lifecycle, product, and design — bringing people with you, not around them. Lack of ego is essential here.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, mathematics or a related field.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing with a strong track record in growth
  • Proficiency in Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other digital platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in Google Analytics, Google Looker Studio, and Metabase or equivalent.
  • Basic SQL / Big Query skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • A passion for staying on top of digital trends and innovations.

Not checking every box? Please apply anyway! We know that candidates have different experiences that may make them a great fit for this position and for Helcim. We believe that diversity and having an inclusive culture is not only the right thing, but key to our long-term success. Diversity brings more experience, view-points, knowledge and insight about our future. We also want to provide an accessible interview process, so if there’s any accommodations that would make your experience more comfortable, please let us know.

Nice to Have Skills
  • Digital Advertising (Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Reddit Ads, etc.)
  • Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Looker Studio, Metabase (or equivalent)
  • Applied marketing theory
  • Teamwork & collaboration
  • Basic SQL / Big Query

Here are the things you’ll own day to day:

Platform Ownership & Execution
  • Own strategy, execution, and optimization across paid channels (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit, CTV, etc.).
  • Control budget allocation, targeting, and bidding to drive ROI.
  • Spot, test, and scale new platforms before they're obvious.

Data Extraction & Performance Scrutiny
  • Pull your own data — from ad platforms, GA, Looker Studio, Metabase. Don't wait for it.
  • Dig past the surface metric. Question anomalies. Stress-test attribution.
  • Turn data into decisions, not just dashboards.
  • Own UTM and attribution hygiene.
  • Comfortable in SQL / BigQuery to get answers yourself.

Brand & Performance Integration
  • Treat brand and performance as one growth engine, not competing priorities.
  • Call out short-term, last-click thinking when it costs long-term growth.
  • Partner with creative and brand teams so performance work builds equity, not just clicks.

Creative Velocity & Testing
  • Help steer a high-velocity creative testing process — fast hypotheses, fast learnings.
  • Keep a steady pipeline of test variants moving through platforms.
  • Turn creative performance signals into sharp briefs and next-test priorities.

Measurement Frameworks
  • Know the major measurement frameworks (MMM, MTA, incrementality, last-click) cold — including where each one lies to you.
  • Bring experience standing up or evolving measurement practices that match the business, not just the textbook.
  • Help define what "good measurement" looks like for Helcim as we scale.

Results & Growth Culture
  • Consistently optimize & find those compounding incremental wins and chase the unlock.
  • Help build and protect a real testing and growth culture on the team.
  • Work across product, sales, design, dev, and ops — bring people along, don't dictate.
  • Share what you know. Elevate the people around you. Check your ego at the door.
  • Jump in on launches, incidents, and rollouts when the team needs it.
