THE POSITION
Helcim is searching for a full-time Finance Administrator to work on our Finance Team. You will contribute to the business by ensuring timely payments to vendor payments, recording and reconciling day-to-day financial transactions, and contributing to payroll and benefits.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual who is able to manage conflicting deadlines and multiple tasks at a fast-growing company. This role will be ever changing and you will be successful in this role if you are flexible, open-minded and proactive, while being detail oriented and capable of helping create and improve processes for a fast-growing company.
A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL;
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including vendor correspondence, document verification and online payment inputs
- Manage supplier invoices and credits, and payment processing approvals
- Assist with daily and monthly reconciliation of company bank accounts, credit card statements and other balance sheet accounts
- Assist with preparing payroll and employee benefits
- Prepare and remit monthly, quarterly and annual filings including PST, GST and payroll taxes and any other government filings
- Contribute to other finance general administrative duties as necessary
KEY COMPETENCIES

- 1-2 years accounts payable and accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or Bookkeeping is considered an asset
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, combined with interpersonal skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required and proficiency in Google Workspace, and Xero would be an asset
- Payroll experience or payroll designation is an asset
- Contributes to a fun, welcoming work environment

Training: Helcim will cover 50% of the applicable training costs of up to $500 per year.
