Helcim is searching for a Junior Project Manager to join our Special Projects team. The Jr. Project Manager will play a crucial role in coordinating and executing projects both big and small company wide. The Special Projects Team at Helcim works on a wide range of strategic and tactical projects that are critical to Helcim’s mission and long-term vision. Project Managers organize, lead, and help execute on company projects that fall outside of the scope of regular duties for other departments. The Special Projects Team is curious, flexible, and communicative, allowing them to work across all departments at Helcim and collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization.

Typical Duties

• Design, plan and schedule projects company wide, often taking projects from 0-1
• Arrange and complete action plans accordingly
• Coordinate and deliver projects through their full lifecycle from start to finish, while keeping a tempo reflective of deliverable dates
• Work closely with stakeholders to confirm the details of each project
• Build and maintain excellent rapport with both internal and external stakeholders
• Monitor and organize each project, anticipate and mitigate challenges, and communicate updates accordingly
• Empathetic and customer experience focused approach to projects where they impact customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in a Project Management or related role
• PMP or equivalent certification is considered an asset
• SQL and data analysis skills, including using business intelligence tools
• Background in the software development lifecycle and network technology is an asset
• Experience overseeing and supporting both short and long term projects through their full lifecycle
• Exceptional time management skills
• Proven ability to creatively problem solve
• Extremely detail oriented with strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication (both written and oral), and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate ownership and sheer determination when it comes to meeting objectives

Helcim uses a hybrid work structure where team members can work 3 days in the Calgary office (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) and 2 days (Tuesday/Thursday) at home.
