The Opportunity - Director of Performance Marketing
We are looking for a senior and strategic professional in the paid media space who wants to apply their skills and experience to create a more informed world. As our first Director of Performance Marketing, you’ll be the driving force behind launching, improving, and scaling performance digital marketing campaigns across various platforms.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and execute full-funnel performance marketing campaigns across multiple platforms (Meta, Reddit, Google, TikTok, etc.).
Manage day-to-day operations, including launching tests, reporting, analyzing, and optimizing campaigns.
Launch and scale campaigns on untested channels, experimenting with targeting and creative strategies to drive growth.
Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to create performance-driven UGC, text, video, and static ads.
Own and optimize the data and martech stack, leveraging insights to drive campaign improvements.
Lead recurring performance deep dives with other growth leads and senior management
What You’ll Bring:
5-10 years of performance marketing experience, with at least 3 years in leadership roles within B2C growth marketing.
Proven track record managing large-scale performance marketing campaigns on paid social, with budgets exceeding $100K/month.
Experience building full-funnel programs that meet ROAS targets, including measurement, creative, and targeting strategies.
Experience in leading and collaborating with creative teams to develop and test performance-driven ad assets for paid social.
Proven success in scaling a channel from 0 to 1.
Bonus Points:
Experience leveraging AI tools for creative production.
Experience scaling performance marketing campaigns for consumer tech, B2C SaaS, and/or online media products.
A genuine interest and deep familiarity with the US and Canadian political and media landscape.
