We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in analyzing customer and transactional data, identifying patterns, and providing actionable insights for both clients and internal stakeholders. This role demands strong analytical skills, curiosity, and a passion for storytelling with data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze customers' financial transactions and engagement data to identify patterns, behaviors, and outliers.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences: clients, business, and technical stakeholders.
- Create clear, engaging reports and visualizations that drive decision-making and create compelling narratives.
- Develop and execute complex SQL queries across relational databases.
- Work both independently and collaboratively, contributing to a team environment while autonomously pursuing value-driven tasks.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to align insights with product and business objectives.
- Stay curious and proactive: Seek to understand financial terminology and context within transactional data.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (mid to senior level) working with SQL and relational schemas.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to spot trends, anomalies, and subtle shifts in data behavior.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries).
- Familiarity with Python is an asset.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid setup (3+ days per week in Montreal office).
- Strong interpersonal skills: Experience presenting insights to both technical and non-technical audiences, including clients.
- Background in Finance or Marketing is a plus.
- Self-starter with the ability to identify and prioritize impactful work without constant direction.
