Position Overview

We are looking for a Manager, Modern Workplace and Application Services to lead the delivery, support, and continuous optimization of enterprise SaaS platforms, with a primary focus on Microsoft 365.

This role is responsible for ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing collaboration services that enable business operations while driving AI adoption and modern workplace innovation across the organization.

Reporting to the Director, Information Systems, you will lead a team of subject matter experts, providing both technical guidance and leadership to support application services, resolve complex issues, and deliver scalable, technology-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the strategy and roadmap for modern workplace and application services, including Microsoft 365, enterprise SaaS platforms, and desktop applications
  • Drive adoption of AI and automation capabilities to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and improve user experience
  • Oversee end-to-end service delivery, ensuring platforms meet performance expectations, service levels, and user satisfaction targets
  • Lead application lifecycle initiatives including implementations, upgrades, integrations, and feature enablement
  • Provide reporting and insights on platform performance, adoption, and risks to support data-driven decision-making
  • Partner with business leaders to translate requirements into scalable, technology-enabled solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, standardization, and automation
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering accountability, innovation, and continuous learning
  • Support the team in resolving complex technical issues and act as a subject matter expert within the Microsoft ecosystem
  • Guide project execution including application onboarding, migrations, and implementation initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 5 or more years of experience in IT service delivery, modern workplace technologies, and enterprise application management
  • Strong technical expertise in Microsoft 365 and the Microsoft ecosystem
  • Experience supporting SaaS platforms, desktop applications, and ITSM tools such as Jira or equivalent
  • Experience leading or supporting technology implementations, migrations, or transformation initiatives
  • Understanding of governance, security, and compliance within cloud-based environments
  • Experience driving AI adoption, automation, or digital workplace innovation initiatives
  • Demonstrated leadership or team lead experience with the ability to guide and support technical teams
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using metrics and KPIs to drive performance

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with a preference for candidates located in the Ottawa area
  • Ability to work within the Eastern time zone or align with team operating hours
  • Strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders and support a team of technical specialists
  • No travel required

Compensation

$120,000 to $140,000 with eligibility for an incentive bonus as part of the overall compensation package
