Position Overview

As a Dental Assistant at CFB Shilo, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality oral healthcare to the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces. Working alongside skilled dentists and dental hygienists, you’ll be a part of a close-knit team focused on supporting the health, well-being, and readiness of Canada’s military members.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists or other dental clinicians chairside in performing a wide range of dental procedures.
• Perform dental radiographs.
• Perform a wide range of dental laboratory procedures.
• Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments, equipment, and operating area.
• Maintain dental operating area and monitor consumable supplies.
• Provide administrative support as required.
• Other associated tasks relevant to this occupational group.
  
  

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Level II (Intra-Oral) Dental Assisting program.
• Must be licensed in Good Standing as a Level II Dental Assistant with the Manitoba Dental Assistants Association.
• Must have experience performing intra-oral procedures and providing clinical assistance in all disciplines of dentistry.
• Must have (or be able to obtain) CPR Level C / AED certification.
