Position Overview
Calian is currently looking for a Logistics Supports Specialist to support the Asset Visibility Initiative required by the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM).
Responsibilities
- Preparing correspondence and documents related to the acceptance/rejection of deliverables
- Preparing statements of work and item descriptions for inclusion into requests for proposals
- Providing feedback and (or) data clarification to the project management authority
- Conducting evaluations of ILS bid proposals and provide feedback and recommendations to the project management authority
- Working with engineering and procurement staff to ensure ILS efforts are integrated with other program activities
- Planning and implementing logistic support elements which include: maintenance tasks, spares, training, technical publications, translation and facilities
- Preparing and presenting to business units and operational divisions which cover issues of maintenance and supply support
- Assist the stakeholders by stocktaking of all materiel held, including physical counts and discrepancy investigation within the system of record (JSIS DRMIS)
- Report any deficiencies and surpluses to the proper authority for adjustment action
- Support to Life Cycle Materiel Managers (LCMMs) to update various data and information in JSIS DRMIS, including processing equipment/material for disposal or sale
- Support to Supply Managers (SMs) by processing various material management transactions in JSIS DRMIS and assist with data accuracy within the Materiel Master Record (MMR)
- Initiate material identification requests and assist with data enrichment in support of the RCOs
- Leverage the Canadian Government Cataloguing System (CGCS) and NATO Master Cross Reference List (NMCRL) to conduct search verification in support of record creation
- Support immediate supervisor with the review of various business processes, reports, analytics visualizations and the implementation of strategies or solutions
Qualifications
- Must have a High School diploma or higher level of education
- Must have a minimum of 7 years work experience in Supply chain management within the past 10 years
- A valid provincial driver’s license (Class G or equivalent as a minimum)
- Must have experience within the last 84 months with Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) or System Applications and Products (SAP) Enterprise Central Component (ECC)
- Must have experience within the last 84 months with the Canadian Government Cataloguing System (CGCS)
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience using Microsoft Office; Excel, Access and Word
Additional Requirements
- Must currently hold of be eligible for Secret (Level II) Security Clearance with the Government of Canada
