Summary:

We are looking for a Systems Specialist, FP&A to join our FP&A Systems team. This role is for someone who is passionate about technical problem-solving and providing high-quality support while making a tangible impact across the organization.

We are looking for high-performing and curious individuals who bring a customer-focused mindset to every technical challenge. If you’re excited about collaborating with your team to take ownership of ticket management and bug fixes to keep our systems healthy in an environment where your contributions directly impact team success, we want to hear from you! We are looking for someone to join one of our hub locations (Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto). All hub-based Clions are expected to be in the office for a minimum of twice per week on one of our Anchor Days. Occasional travel to partner or supplier sites as required.

What your team does:

Clio is looking for someone to join the FP&A Systems team to design, develop, maintain and administer our EPM platform and integrations.

  • We partner with Finance and business leaders to enhance financial planning, reporting, and forecasting processes.

  • We configure and optimize our EPM platform to support budgeting, scenario modeling, and financial analysis.

  • We develop scalable workflows and automation to improve efficiency and data integrity.

  • We support end users by providing training, documentation, and troubleshooting for our systems.

  • We collaborate with IT and other system teams to integrate and align data across our platforms.

What you’ll work on:

  • Act as a technical point person for our EPM Solution (Pigment), ensuring system health through proactive maintenance and monitoring.

  • Manage the end-to-end ticket lifecycle by providing timely, customer-first support and technical troubleshooting for our internal users.

  • Coordinate with teammates and stakeholders to resolve bugs and execute system enhancements that improve the user experience.

  • Assist in maintaining FP&A integrations with connected applications: NetSuite, Workday, SFDC, and Looker, etc.

  • Execute user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality checks to ensure data integrity and system reliability.

  • Administer user licenses and permissions while ensuring proper controls are in place for sensitive financial data.

  • Draft and maintain application documentation, help articles, and instructional materials to empower our users.

  • Support Senior Specialists in scoping requirements for new roadmap features by providing insight into common user pain points.

What you bring:

  • 3–5 years experience with EPM platforms, either from an administration/maintenance standpoint or as a power user within an FP&A team.

  • Familiarity with financial reporting, planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a fast-paced environment.

  • A customer-first approach to providing support, with the ability to translate technical fixes into clear communication for non-technical users.

  • Proven ability to collaborate and coordinate effectively within a team to meet shared goals.

  • Experience writing user-facing documentation or training guides.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrate a keen interest in improving your craft by using AI

What you may have:

  • You are energized by diving into the details and find satisfaction in "squashing bugs" and closing tickets.

  • You are a proactive learner who is eager to grow your skills toward architectural design and complex modeling.

  • You advocate strongly for your ideas but are quick to change course when presented with a better argument. You value a workplace where direct, honest feedback is the standard.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Hands-on experience administering or building in Pigment.

  • Prior experience working with a wider scope of stakeholders across the business outside of just Finance.

  • A solid understanding of data structures and how they impact financial reporting.

This is a new role.
