Summary:

We are currently seeking a Staff Product Manager to join our Invoicing and Expense Team. This role sits within the Product Management function and reports to the Group Product Manager, FinTech.This role can be performed from one of our Canadian offices, or remotely from the US or Canada or a combination of both.

What you’ll work on:

  • As a Staff Product Manager for Invoicing and Expense products at Clio, you will spearhead the vision, strategy, and roadmap execution for our existing and new product lines. As the successful candidate, we will rely on your tried, tested and well honed product management skills combined with your experience in the Fintech space to shape the trajectory of this area. The business will look to you to articulate where the market is going, how we should stay ahead of that from a product perspective and to collaborate cross functionally and work with engineering and design teams to execute against the roadmap that you've set.

  • Product Leadership + Execution: In collaboration with your Developer and Designer counterparts (your triad) you will drive successful outputs and outcomes in your product area. Working from the overarching strategy set by your Group Product Manager you will develop a roadmap in conjunction with your peers that moves our business forward and evangelize this throughout the company.

  • Strategy and Prioritization: You will drive customer and market research, identify opportunities, develop unbiased business cases and determine priorities that help Clio best deliver on our mission and against our annual OKRs. You will build conviction in the initiatives that you chose to invest in and be willing to pivot when priorities change or new information comes to light.

  • Market and Customer Understanding: We truly believe that the success of our customers comes first so expectations for Product Managers to be the expert on the user is high. As such, constant communication with customers, (existing, churned and prospect), as well as a deep understanding of the markets in which we operate will be expected. This will be complemented by deep quantitative data to complete the customer picture.

  • Coaching and Mentoring: Clio will look to you to coach and mentor other Product Managers in their craft and, in conjunction with product leadership, contribute to the continuous up-leveling of the product function and contributing to the culture as a whole.

What you bring:

  • Previous Invoicing, Billing, or Spend Management experience with solid financial literacy skills. If that experience extends to a verticalized Saas even better!

  • 6-8 years plus experience in product management with a number of them in FinTech or Financial Services

  • A significant number of failures and successes under your belt; the learnings of which you can bring to Clio

  • Multiple 0-1 product launches that you’ve managed from conception to launch and scaled

  • Can work in a highly collaborative team without ego

  • Can build credibility as a trusted product expert and confidently lead initiatives by defining success criteria and engaging cross-functional stakeholders

Bonus points if you have:

  • Strong understanding of legal tech trends, compliance standards, and industry regulations.

  • Additional Fintech roles (payments, accounting, payroll)

  • Ability to bridge the gap between legal requirements and technological solutions.

The full salary range* for this role is $152,100 to $190,100 to $228,100 CAD.Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.

*We aim to hire all candidates between the minimum and the midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the maximum of the salary band for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on individual experience and skillset of the candidate. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
