Summary:

We are currently seeking a Senior Compensations Analyst to join our People team. This role is available to candidates across Canada, excluding Quebec. Burnaby (Vancouver) or Toronto location preferred.

The Team:

As a Senior Compensation Analyst, you’ll operate in strategic partnership with the business and the whole People department to enhance the overall employee experience through your work in designing and maintaining compensation programs that attract, retain and motivate top talent. You’ll work closely with our FP&A, Talent Acquisition, People Systems and Analytics, Payroll and Benefits, and Employee Success teams to support the development, delivery, communication, and administration of our compensation and equity programs. You will be a key contact point for all Clions and provide subject matter expertise on all compensation-related matters.

You love diving into data and spreadsheets, but also enjoy getting creative when you zoom out and work cross-functionally on programs and initiatives.

What you’ll work on:

  • Preparing compensation modeling, analyzing data for interpretation, developing reports for presentations to enable strategic total rewards business discussions and decisions

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to leaders and people team partners on all compensation programs, processes, and practices

  • Maintaining the systems and processes of total rewards, including workflow improvements, HRIS configuration and partnering with external solution providers

  • Conducting research on compensation practices and trends to analyze and identify issues or opportunities for compensation programs in partnership with our People team

  • Managing compensation benchmarking and market intelligence surveying to ensure our total rewards offerings remain competitive

  • Championing the pursuit of operational excellence at scale across all back-end processes and workflows associated with total rewards

  • Support Clio’s compensation review process through data analysis, compensation band updating, and pay equity reporting.

  • Supporting leaders in preparing materials that will be reviewed by the compensation committee at the board of directors level

  • Supporting in the planning and implementation of our global executive compensation strategy

  • Championing pay equity efforts across the organization and provide guidance to leaders to make equitable compensation decisions

  • Supporting in the design and implementation of our employee stock option plan and other LTI’s as required

  • Other duties as required

What you may have:

  • 5+ years of experience in compensation, ideally in Tech / SaaS

  • Experience working with HRIS back-end and administering

  • Demonstrated ability to lead with a growth mindset; an ability to be resilient, flexible and creative in approaching complex problems.

  • Outstanding listening, collaboration and team building skills that facilitate coordination and cooperation with the demonstrated ability to lead with both courage and humility.

  • Demonstrated ability to form, develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across all levels, including executives.

  • Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written, with a variety of audiences in the organization.

Serious bonus points if you have:

  • A Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation

  • Experience using and/or configuring Workday

  • Experience managing or designing stock equity programs
