As a Senior Manager of Solutions Engineering, you will report to the Director of Solutions Engineering and support a team of exceptional individuals who are passionate about working with our customers to find solutions that meet their needs. An ideal candidate would foster, enable, and share their curiosity.

We’re looking for an experienced leader to work closely with our Solutions Engineering team to build out the next chapter of the customer journey through solutions engineering.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What we're looking for:

  • 8+ years of experience working in the SaaS industry in a similar capacity, which includes 2+ years of experience leading a team of highly technical individual contributors in Solutions Engineering with history in sales leadership as a bonus

  • Experience working under MEDDPICC and developing successful Solutions processes within the framework

  • Experience in a wide range of business needs and requirements as well as a deep understanding of what customers are looking for and require in security software

  • Excellent organizational skills to manage a team that not only works complex customer engagements but also high impact projects for technical documentation and learning

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to nurture effective relationships with the other teams within Go-to-Market and the rest of 1Password

  • Proven experience fostering and maintaining a healthy and supportive environment for their team in which everyone is supported, encouraged, and meaningfully challenged to do great work

What you can expect:

  • Partner with your direct leader and other leaders within Go-to-Market to plan and implement the long-term vision for supporting our customers through the solutions engineering journey

  • Collaborate within the Solutions teams and their leaders to refine and improve our engagement and escalation processes for the teams we support

  • Lead the creation of a scalable multi-market model across countries, aligning processes to meet diverse customer needs in security software

  • Analyze call volume and patterns, with a focus on optimization, and report on the progress of OKRs and other team metrics to senior management

  • Work with our HR and talent teams to continue to grow the team

  • Work with our Partnerships team to support our Channel Partner Program

  • Collaborate with our Product, Marketing, and CX teams to manage cross-functional projects, feature releases, and more to allow our front line managers to more effectively focus on coaching their respective teams

  • In addition to the segment leaders you’ll manage a small group of ICs focused on strategic accounts and partners

  • Contribute to highly effective onboarding and development processes for current and future team members

  • Work closely with the team to develop a program for continuously improving customer interaction efficiency and quality

  • Build upon an effective foundation of continuous learning by identifying and providing opportunities for the team to expand their knowledge and develop their skills

  • Support and nurture an exceptionally collaborative team by creating a strong culture of feedback, psychological safety, and communication

USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $155,000 USD and $209,000 USD, and is commission-eligible. This role is also immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $145,000 CAD and $196,000 CAD and is commission-eligible. This role is also eligible for immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Our approach to work
We recognize the power of both in person collaboration and remote work. Some roles are designated as remote-first, with an expectation that individuals work from their homes majority of the time, while others are designated as in-office roles, with an expectation of being on-site on a regular basis. We recognize that certain roles benefit from regular, in-person connection to support collaboration, team cohesion, and customer engagement.
For all roles, occasional travel may be required. This includes things like: department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events are typically held in varying locations across Canada, USA and/or EMEA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.
