We’re looking for a strategic and dynamic Analyst Relations Director to lead and elevate our global AR program. Reporting to the VP of Corporate Marketing and Communications, you’ll play a critical role in positioning 1Password as the leader in a new security category: Extended Access Management (XAM). You’ll shape analyst perception, build trusted relationships, and drive visibility in key analyst reports and evaluations, including Gartner Magic Quadrants and Forrester Waves.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada or the US.
What you can expect:
Develop and execute an AR strategy in the US and EMEA that helps establish the Extended Access Management category and positions 1Password as its leader
Build and deepen relationships with analysts who cover cybersecurity, identity security, access management, and SaaS management
Craft narratives for analysts that connect our platform vision, innovation, and customer success
Manage an annual calendar of inquiries, briefings, and report deadlines across firms, ensuring effective workback plans are in place for spokespeople and cross-functional partners
Drive our participation in key analyst evaluations, seamlessly managing the process to ensure timely and high-quality submissions
Lead high-touch analyst engagements, including inquiries, briefings, events, and SaaS strategy days. Work cross-functionally to prepare and deliver compelling briefings, presentation materials, and product updates
Attend and represent 1Password at analyst and cybersecurity industry conferences
Coach executives and spokespeople for analyst engagements, ensuring their messages resonate
Monitor analyst research and surface key insights and trends to inform product development, corporate strategy, and opportunities to improve company perception and competitive positioning
Oversee metrics for AR program success
Collaborate with product, marketing, and communications teams to ensure alignment across initiatives; enable teams to use analyst insights and content in campaigns, communications, and sales efforts
Use AI tools to streamline operations, scale intelligence gathering and dissemination, and drive efficiencies
Oversee AR agencies and vendors in support of the program
What we’re looking for:
8+ years in analyst relations with deep experience in the cybersecurity space
Experience building or championing a new category to an analyst audience
Proven track record of securing strong placements in Gartner Magic Quadrants and/or Forrester Waves
Strong existing relationships with cybersecurity analysts across leading firms
Strategic thinker with strong executional rigor
Strong writing, messaging, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into compelling narratives
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to present points of view to C-level executives and influence cross-functionally
Exceptional organizational and project management skills
Possesses a growth mindset and is comfortable navigating ambiguity
Hands-on experience with AI tools and a passion for building AI workflows to scale program impact
Global AR experience is a plus
Experience in leading strategic department initiatives in fast-paced, complex, and dynamic environments.
USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $208,000 USD and $282,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $191,000 CAD and $259,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
