We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Hybrid Solutions Engineer/ Solutions Architect to join our AWS Partnership team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor and lead the technical enablement for our AWS-based partnership. You will work closely with AWS’s technical teams to build the technical roadmap for engagement, ensuring that the sales teams are equipped to position our solutions effectively and support the overall selling process

You will play a key role in helping to shape and drive successful technical engagements, and your ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders is critical to success in this role.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience with AWS services in a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar technical role, with a preference for experience in the cybersecurity or cloud computing including

  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

  • Deep understanding of AWS services, architectures, and best practices. Demonstrated experience with security-focused AWS services

  • Hands-on experience using identity standards (including SAML 2.0, OAuth 2, OIDC), and modern security principles (i.e. zero trust, multi-factor authentication, passwordless technologies)

  • Expertise in designing solutions with IAM platforms (i.e. Okta, Active Directory, Entra ID, AWS Cognito, etc) in enabling single sign-on services for application

  • Demonstrated experience with developing high-quality technical artifacts, reference architectures, and white papers for a variety of audiences (customers, partners, solution architects, etc.)

  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity concepts, protocols, and industry standards (e.g., network security, encryption, identity management, threat detection, etc.).

  • Comprehensive understanding of scalable cloud infrastructure principles and in-depth knowledge of generative AI solutions like Amazon Bedrock and Anthropic.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, product, and marketing.

  • Strongly Preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional, AWS Certified Security Specialty, or relevant industry certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, etc.).

What you can expect:

  • Solution Design & Implementation: Help design tailored security solutions that integrate our SaaS cybersecurity platform with AWS services, ensuring seamless and secure cloud-native deployments.

  • AI Solutions :Provide strategic guidance on the design and implementation of scalable cloud infrastructures optimized for integrating and leveraging generative AI solutions

  • Collaborate with AWS Technical Teams: Work closely with AWS’s engineering, solutions architecture, and business teams to establish a strategic technical roadmap for engagement.

  • Collaborate with AWS Technical Teams: Work with internal enablement team in shaping our enablement roadmap to align closely with the technical roadmap as it applies to shaping our better together narrative

  • Enable Partner Success: Provide ongoing technical support and enablement to partner teams to effectively position and deploy our solutions for AWS-based clients.

  • Drive Technical Workshops & Trainings: Conduct technical workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing sessions to ensure AWS partners are equipped with the knowledge to promote and sell our solution.

  • Pre-Sales Support: Assist in pre-sales activities by addressing technical inquiries, creating demos, and providing architectural guidance to ensure that customer needs are met effectively.

  • Customer Engagement: Participate in customer meetings as a technical expert, ensuring the solution is positioned appropriately, addressing technical concerns, and supporting the sales process.

  • Continuous Improvement: Work with internal product and engineering teams to provide feedback from the field, ensuring that our products evolve to meet the needs of our AWS partner ecosystem.

USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $160,000 USD and $216,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $151,000 CAD and $205,000CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Our approach to remote work
We believe in the power of remote work, but we also recognize that some in-person connection with team members and customers is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, occasional travel for in-person engagement will be a part of this role. This may include but is not limited to bi-annual department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events will typically be held in varying locations across EMEA, Canada and/or the USA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.
