The 1Password Partner team proactively works to support our partner ecosystem to get the most value in their investment in security and privacy by establishing long term strategic relationships and acting as a trusted advisor. Partners are a core focus for the future growth of 1Password.
The Senior Manager MSP Sales will be responsible for owning and driving growth within our MSP channel. You will be responsible for guiding our partners through established best practices by demonstrating an understanding of the needs of their customers and acting as an advocate on their behalf within the 1Password partner program. You will develop strong professional relationships with key direct MSP’s and partners across the MSP channel ecosystem.
This is a complex, senior role that requires an artful balance of sales, program development and relationship management in order to deliver a set of scalable partners centric, revenue generating partnerships.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in MSP channel partner management and/or business development with a preference for experience in a SaaS or cybersecurity environment
  • Ability to build partner programs from conception to roll out with a customer -centric approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and drive results at all levels
  • Demonstrated experience with creating and providing enablement materials, direction, and support to ensure GTM (go-to-market) success of MSP partners
  • Experience with aligning channel and partner initiatives and strategies with cross functional teams (e.g, Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Product Marketing, Customer Experience)
  • Excellent problem solving skills with experience in leveraging internal and external resources to resolve conflicts and follow through with solutions for MSP partners
  • Proven experience with working cross-functionally to provide insight and prioritization of product roadmaps for new features and functionality based on MSP partner requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in meeting and exceeding quotas.
  • Possess a network of relationships with MSP partners to aid in opportunity identification.

What you can expect:

  • Understand the needs of 1Password and our partners and use insights to craft a partner program strategy
  • Work cross functionally to ensure channel and partner programs align with strategies in Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Experience
  • Translate requirements for program initiatives into actionable steps, ensuring alignment with business needs
  • Direct MSP acquisition
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
  • Conduct sales presentations to potential partners.
  • Drive a Structured and Organized Approach - you’re hyper-organized, and can manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously. Navigating partner contracts, aligning internal processes, building business and financial plans, and engaging cross functional teams for program development are all activities that you’re comfortable managing.
  • Responsible for leading channel management activities for Managed Service Providers (MSP).
  • Provided enablement materials, direction, and support to ensure GTM (Go-To-Market) success of direct MSP partners, and Distribution and RMM/PSA
USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $149,000 USD and $201,000 USD and is commission eligible. The role is also eligible for immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $143,000 CAD and $193,000 CAD and is commission eligible. The role is also eligible for immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
At 1Password, we approach each individual's compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set.
We believe in the power of remote work, but we also recognize that some in-person connection with team members and customers is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, occasional travel for in-person engagement will be a part of this role. This may include but is not limited to bi-annual department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events will typically be held in varying locations across Canada and the USA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.
