Reporting directly to the VP of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), the Director of Corporate FP&A will play a crucial role in our dynamic, rapidly growing organization. This position acts as a vital financial connector between Finance, Customer Experience, Technology, Product, and General & Administrative teams, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strategic financial management, and operational efficiency across 1Password.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Corporate FP&A or similar roles within high-growth technology companies, preferably within the SaaS industry.
- Proven track record of translating complex data into actionable insights that influence strategic decision-making.
- Expertise in utilizing financial planning tools such as Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, or similar, coupled with proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle) and BI tools (e.g., Looker).
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate financial concepts and insights clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing a team, and the ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive environment amidst rapid change.
- Thorough understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deliver under tight deadlines with limited supervision.
- Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
What you can expect:
- Lead the consolidation of 1Password’s P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reporting and forecasting processes with a strategic focus on accuracy and transparency.
- Own the strategic narrative for board and investor communications, ensuring alignment of financial results and key metrics with corporate strategy and growth objectives
- Foster strategic partnerships with Customer Experience, R&D, and General & Administrative functions, leveraging financial insights to support innovation, operational efficiency, and cost management initiatives.
- Drive the development and enhancement of robust financial models leveraging Anaplan and other advanced planning tools, overseeing their implementation to ensure effective integration, functionality, and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with Accounting to manage Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasts, providing critical visibility and defining key financial metrics.
- Enhance key metrics reporting, including headcount analysis, to optimize resource allocation and support informed business decisions.
- Prepare and present insightful analyses, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management, influencing strategic decisions and driving company-wide value.
- Scale the corporate FP&A function by optimizing planning tools and cross-functional planning processes to support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and monthly outlooks.
- Drive process improvements and provide ad hoc analyses to support the company’s growth at scale.
- Lead FP&A efforts through M&A activities, ensuring the successful integration of financial planning tools, processes, and personnel to drive seamless transitions and operational effectiveness.
USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $175,000 USD and $237,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $158,000 CAD and $214,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
