As a Solutions Engineer, Channel, you’ll help improve sales productivity and deal flow by providing technical expertise and be responsible for assisting the Partnerships team in achieving their targets. You will collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Support resources and interact with crucial Partner technical decision-makers to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address their and their customer’s needs. This is a Remote opportunity within Canada and the US (Eastern or Central Time Zone preferred).

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years experience in customer-facing & Partner-facing activities in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Ability to popularize technical information for a general audience.
  • Superior presentation skills.
  • Bring together and land company solutions with partner solutions, fully leverage the synergistic effect with our partners.
  • Share practical knowledge and co-sell with partners and internal sales teams to make deals faster and larger.
  • Be the voice of the customer and partner. Share feedback and best practices that influence GTM and product strategies.
  • Collaborate with partners to outline business priorities and understand the buying decision criteria and timeline.
  • Work closely with the Partner team to understand partner roadmap and objectives to meet critical business goals.
  • Keen eye for detail and quality.
  • Strong level of autonomy with the ability to drive projects with limited guidance.
  • Highly adaptable with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • It’s a bonus if you have personal experience with 1Password or another password manager—while not required, it’ll help you gain confidence quickly in this role.
  • Familiarity with the acronyms SCIM, AD, CLI, SSO, MSP and of course SaaS.
  • Experience working in the security industry is an asset.

What you can expect:

  • Be the main technical point of contact within 1Password’s Go-To-Market Partner team.
  • Be the dedicated direct Solutions Engineering resource to our Partners team.
  • Proactively scope the technical solution required to address customer and Partner requirements, assess customers’ and Partners’ met and unmet needs, and recommend optimum solutions and support.
  • Provide technical coaching to 1Password’s Partnerships team and our Partners.
  • Collaborate with Product and Support teams on technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process and alert the sales teams to potential risks of deal closure.
  • Provide training to Partners, customers and staff when needed.
  • Prepare proposals and respond to Partner RFIs, RFPs and RFQs.
USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $97,000 USD and $131,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $89,000 CAD and $121,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
At 1Password, we approach each individual's compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set.
We believe in the power of remote work, but we also recognize that some in-person connection with team members and customers is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, occasional travel for in-person engagement will be a part of this role. This may include but is not limited to bi-annual department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events will typically be held in varying locations across Canada and the USA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.
