- Handle all daily accounting operations, including recording journal entries, reconciling bank and subledger accounts, and maintaining accurate general ledger balances.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, vendor payments, and staff reimbursements.
- Perform monthly and year-end close processes, preparing trial balances, variance analyses, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure local tax compliance, including VAT/Consumption Tax, withholding, and corporate tax filings (with support from external tax advisors where needed).
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Support audit preparation by providing complete and well-organized documentation.
- Take ownership of intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and recharges.
- Manage expense reporting, petty cash, and ensure adherence to company financial policies.
- Assist in Oracle Fusion eXp local setup and ensure entries are compliant with Korean accounting and tax standards.
- Prepare periodic financial reports for management review.
- Continuously improve accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of combined experience in accounting and the general ledger close process.
- Strong understanding of local GAAP accounting principles; US GAAP knowledge is a plus.
- Experience working with Oracle Fusion ERP is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills preferred.
- Develops professional expertise by applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
- Works on moderately scoped problems, using judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions.
- Builds productive working relationships with internal and external partners.
This position allows you to work from any location in South Korea with a stable internet connection. You are expected to provide your own workspace and reliable internet access.
While core hours are based on the local business schedule, you have flexibility in organizing your work, provided it does not compromise project deadlines or team collaboration.
You will be provided with a company computer and other necessary equipment. Work-related expenses will be discussed and agreed upon in advance.
