What you will do:
Data Services at eXp Realty plays a crucial role in optimizing our data management practices. Our team is responsible for collecting, organizing, storing, and democratizing the company's vast array of data assets. We ensure our data is accessible, reliable, and timely, addressing the diverse needs of all users and applications. As a Sr. Manager, Data Services, your primary responsibilities will include leading, managing, and mentoring part of the Data Services team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. You will oversee the delivery of data products and services to our existing clients and applications. You will collaborate with stakeholders and internal teams to gather and define requirements for new features and improvements. Additionally, you will prioritize and plan sprints, aligning team efforts with business expectations and deadlines. This position also requires you to be hands-on, utilizing your technical skills, including SQL, API tools like Postman, and navigating source code to directly contribute to project completion. Furthermore, you will coordinate audit activities, working closely with Internal Audit and external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy. You will also manage the production support and quality assurance teams, overseeing the review of new functionalities and providing top-notch support for current clients and applications.
  • Delivering high-quality data products that enhance client satisfaction and drive business growth.
  • Streamlining the requirements gathering process, resulting in clear and actionable directives for the engineering team.
  • Efficiently planning and executing sprints, consistently meeting or exceeding business deadlines.
  • Improving data integration and reporting capabilities to provide valuable insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Leading the implementation of new functionalities, ensuring they meet client needs and business goals.
  • Driving continuous improvement in our data management practices, leveraging your hands-on technical expertise.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Ensuring the reliability and performance of our data services through effective management of production support and QA teams.
  • Enhancing audit processes and outcomes by effectively managing internal and external audit activities.
  • Contributing to the overall success of the organization by aligning data services with broader business objectives and strategies.

How you will grab our attention:
  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent years of applicable experience. Master’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data management or a related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Experience demonstrating success in a complex business and technical environment
  • Understanding of agile development methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines
  • Fluency with SQL programming required
  • A minimum of 3 years with API testing tools such as Postman required
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik or similar desired
  • Strong interpersonal skills working with business and technical teams.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, organizational and process management skills.
  • Able to set and manage priorities and quickly come up to speed in dynamic environments.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence and Google Apps.
  • Possess an Agile / Flexible mindset
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Excellent customer service abilities: written and verbal communication must be superb
  • Conflict resolution and active listening: ability to assess a customers need or concerns and deliver solutions using critical and creative thinking
  • Remote Work experience required with dedicated home-office/work space
  • Experience in the real estate industry strongly preferred
