About zipBoard
zipBoard is a bootstrapped, profitable document and visual review platform. Architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) firms, hardware documentation teams and eLearning teams use it to review PDFs, drawings, websites and course content. We're a small team, so everyone owns real outcomes.
The role
You'll run zipBoard's content engine and measure whether it works. Half of this job is creating content with AI tools. The other half is tracking what that content does: which pieces bring traffic, sign-ups and demo requests, and which don't. We want someone who uses AI to move fast, knows when its output is wrong, and makes decisions from data rather than gut feel.
What you'll own
Tracking & reporting (about 50%)
- Set up and maintain tracking from first visit to demo: GA4, Google Search Console, HubSpot attribution, UTMs on every link, and conversion events on sign-ups and demo requests
- Track AI search visibility (AEO): whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews cite zipBoard, and for which questions
- Monitor rankings, LinkedIn analytics and email performance (HubSpot/Encharge)
- Keep one live marketing dashboard, so nobody has to rebuild numbers by hand
- Weekly: a 5-line update covering what shipped, the key numbers and anything off track
- Monthly: a performance report on content → traffic → sign-ups → demos, with what worked, what didn't, and what you'll change next month
Content (about 50%)
- 3–4 long-form SEO/AEO articles a month, published and interlinked in WordPress/Elementor
- 8+ LinkedIn posts, 1–2 newsletters, release notes, and help articles for new features
- Refreshing existing pages based on what the data shows
You're a fit if you:
- Have 3+ years in B2B SaaS marketing with hands-on analytics: you've set up GA4 events, UTM conventions and CRM attribution yourself
- Can explain which content drove pipeline, not just page views
- Use Claude, ChatGPT or similar tools daily for writing, research and analysis, and fact-check what they produce
- Can learn a technical product quickly and write clearly for architects, engineers or instructional designers
- Pick up new tools on your own (HubSpot, WordPress, Looker Studio, Zapier or Make)
- Work with a weekly check-in and async updates, not daily meetings
Nice to have: AEC or construction-tech experience, Looker Studio or HubSpot reporting dashboards, SQL or spreadsheet modeling, marketing automation.
