Overview:

At zipBoard, we empower creators by revolutionizing collaboration on digital content, documents, creatives, and webpages through visual means. Our platform addresses the challenges faced by distributed remote teams in the review and approval process by providing intuitive markup and commenting tools. We aim to redefine messy remote collaboration by facilitating visual, contextual feedback, ultimately becoming the go-to visual collaboration platform for all digital creation processes. As a Business Development Representative (BDR) Intern, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our sales and business development efforts, contributing to the growth and success of zipBoard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and generate leads through various channels, including but not limited to cold calling, email outreach, and social media engagement.
  • Conduct research to identify potential clients and key decision-makers within target industries.
  • Assist in creating and executing outreach campaigns to engage prospects and nurture leads through the sales funnel.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to schedule meetings and product demonstrations with qualified leads.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of prospect interactions and sales activities in our CRM system.
  • Provide feedback to the marketing and product teams based on customer insights and market trends to refine our messaging and improve product positioning.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities for business growth.
  • Support the BDR team in achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Commerce, or related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Proactive and self-motivated individual with a passion for sales and business development.
  • Excellent research skills and the ability to gather and analyze data to identify potential leads and opportunities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior experience in sales, marketing, or customer service is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.

Requirements (for grant purposes):

The student must be:

  • Registered as a domestic student in a recognized post-secondary institution
  • Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations. International students are not eligible
  • Undertaking a placement that is recognized as work-integrated learning in connection with a course, degree, certificate, diploma, or other recognized program offered by the institution. The placement can be required or optional, for credit or not for credit.
  • In a full or part-time program from any program of study

Additional Information:

  • Can work 40 hours a week in Pacific Time
  • $20 per hour
