About the role

As a Data Engineer & Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in our data-driven initiatives. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure, performing data analysis, and utilizing your analytical skills to extract valuable insights from data. This role requires a unique blend of engineering, analytical, and scientific expertise, focusing primarily on Zoho tools such as Zoho Analytics, Zoho DataPrep, and Zoho CRM.

Our HQ is in Montreal, QC, but this is a hybrid work position based in San Salvador, El Salvador.

What will your day look like?

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Zoho DataPrep and other relevant tools.
• Integrate data from various sources, including Zoho CRM, Zoho Desk, and external databases hosted on Azure.
• Ensure data quality and integrity across different systems and sources.
• Optimize and manage data warehouse architecture using Zoho Analytics and Azure SQL Database.

Data Analysis:

• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop and create reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Zoho Analytics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights.

Data Science:

• Utilize machine learning capabilities within Zoho Analytics and Zoho DataPrep to develop predictive models.
• Perform statistical analysis and hypothesis testing to support business decisions.
• Continuously monitor and refine models to improve accuracy and performance.
• Leverage Zoho's AI features, such as Zia Insights, to automate insights and enhance data-driven decision-making.

Do you have what it takes?

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data engineering, data analysis, and data science roles.
• Proficiency in Zoho Analytics, Zoho DataPrep, and Zoho CRM.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with Azure SQL Database.
• Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow management tools.
• Experience with machine learning and predictive analytics.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other Zoho tools, such as Zoho Desk and Zoho Creator.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, specifically Azure.
• Understanding of data visualization best practices.
• Familiarity with data governance and best practices.
