What is the opportunity?

Reporting to the VP, Global Customers or similar, the Principal Consultant, Technology & Integration Services oversee the management of the Software Engineering group and acts as authority on high-level and complex decisions within the function of Senior Leaders across Zafin VPs, SVPs & Presidents.

Location: Toronto, Ontario

What will you do:

• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for the design and development of very complex and high priority projects.
• Leads the selection and development of software design methods, tools and techniques.
• Adopts and adapts project management methods and tools. Ensures that effective project monitoring and control processes, change control, risk management and quality processes are employed and maintained.
• Develops organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for software design and software architectures.
• Drives efficiencies, improvement areas and other technical or non technical initiatives
• Coach, mentor, and support team members grow, building an inclusive team environment where everyone can deliver their best work

What do I need to succeed?

Must Have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 14+ years of working experience as a Software Engineer with a consistent track record of delivery, preferably in an agile environment.
• A strong technical background with demonstrable experience in software engineering and systems design and architecture, able to drive platform architectural strategy and roadmap
• Experience of working in a high growth, fast paced product and technology led business.
• Work collaboratively among geographically distributed development and support teams with limited supervision. Some infrequent travel may be required to other office locations if necessary
