Senior Unreal Engine Technical artist and Concept Designer
We’re looking for a highly-skilled, driven and deeply experienced Senior Unreal Engine Technical artist and Concept Designer to work on an exciting new and original sci-fi IP. As a Senior Technical Artist, you will be instrumental in bringing our world to life, creating pipelines for studio art departments, hands on working on the worlds map, optimizing assets and more. Working both independently as an Art Director.
We need someone who’s self-motivated, incredibly creative and has a fantastic vision. If you understand the importance and impact of delivering high-quality art setups that convey tone and emotion that can inspire the whole team, then we’d very much like to hear from you.
The ideal candidate would have good industry knowledge, game development experience and a passion for games. The position is based at our studio in Coquitlam, BC.

Art Direction, Design and Technical level-testing within Unreal Engine to help form and realise the studio’s vision for the title.
Helping environment team to create environments, props, materials, and other game objects in a technically optimised and performant manner.
Organising and maintaining environment art content and giving feedback to the team, maintaining technical integrity and purity of the project.
Developing Environment assets and material production pipelines.
Authoring of materials.
5 years of experience working in games, as a technical artist with 2-3 AAA developed and shipped titles.
Professional experience and good knowledge of working with and 3D packages and knowledge of modern pipelines and modelling tools from mesh/UV space/texture optimisation standpoint.
Professional experience and good knowledge of working with 2D packages and fluency with core concept design principles.
Good knowledge of general pipelines for world building, kit bashing and other related elements. (i.e. : terrain generation, vegetation)
Provide detailed input about the world creation process, from modelling, texturing to lighting.
Knowledge of procedural workflows.
Experience of working in Unreal Engine 5
Experience with blueprinting in Unreal Engine 5
In depth knowledge of shader graph and node based shader creation techniques and ability to author materials with full setup in the engine.
Knowledge of in game lighting and post processing tools.
