WHAT WE’RE WORKING ON

Wyvern is developing better telescopes to capture better hyperspectral imagery from space. Hyperspectral images contain more colours than other types of imagery, meaning these images capture the spectral signature of your crop or forest, for example.

Reporting to the Director of Customer Operations, Wyvern is seeking a Channel Sales Manager to join our Revenue team who will be responsible for establishing and managing our Global Channel Sales Program. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying highly reputable and geospatially sophisticated Resellers in Wyvern’s targeted geographical markets. Collaboration is key as this role will work closely with our Product and Marketing teams during the pre-sales process to build a substantial Channel Sales pipeline

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

The position requires sophisticated business and technical acumen, and the ability to position Wyvern’s products and services in the Government, Agriculture, Mining, Forestry, and Energy sectors/verticals.

  • 2 - 4 years previous experience in International Sales or Marketing in the Earth Observation industry
  • 2 - 4 years Geospatial or technical sales experience is required, along with a demonstrated track record of success
  • Experience selling to international organizations and/or national governments, including understanding the nuances of complex sales cycles and how to effectively navigate through various communication channels
  • Efficiency in gathering market and customer info to enable negotiations regarding price variations, delivery and customer specifications to their managers
  • Proven communication skills and confidence when speaking with corporate and government leaders
  • The ability to interact successfully and respectfully across cultures while managing partners in various time zones around the globe
  • Adept at critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Must be currently legally able to work in either Canada or the United States (Citizen, Resident, or valid work permit

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

At Wyvern, your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsibility for driving the success of the Global Channel Sales Program
  • Expanding our Global Market presence by identifying, targeting, and Developing new business relationships with key Resellers and Partners in strategic geographics and verticals
  • Executing on Wyvern’s Go-to-Market strategy via Global Channel Partners
  • Managing and growing the Channel Sales Pipeline which includes daily management of:
    • The Sales-to-Product feedback loop with Channel Partners
    • Channel proposal generation and pricing work as needed
    • Channel expectations as our constellation and Product Portfolio grows
  • Efficient and impactful use of the CRM (e.g. Hubspot) and related CRM tools.
  • Support highly effective and collaborative team selling with Pre-Sales and Product Management specialists
