Build something people love

Wealthsimple's mission is to help everyone achieve financial freedom – by making financial services simple, transparent, and low-cost. We're Canada's largest fintech, trusted by over 3 million clients with more than $100 billion in assets. We move fast, we own our work, and we care deeply about the people using our products. If that sounds like you, keep reading.

We're proud of what we've built — and we're just getting started. Read our Culture Manual and learn more about how we work.

About the Product Engagement (Lifecycle) Team

Our Product Engagement (PE) team's mission is to connect clients to value — ensuring every client discovers, learns, adopts, and grows with our products. We do that through smart, personalized lifecycle communications across email, push, SMS, and in-app, powered by behavioural data, rigorous experimentation, and an increasingly AI-native way of working. We embed deeply with our Product, PMM, Data Science, and Growth partners — we don't just service their requests, we shape their strategies.

About the Role

We're hiring a Manager, Product Engagement to play a critical role in executing and evolving our lifecycle programs during a key period of growth. This is a 15-month fixed-term contract, reporting to the Director, Product Engagement.

In this role, you'll own end-to-end lifecycle strategy and campaign execution across our Self-directed Investing and Crypto domain, with a strong focus on driving cross-sell growth and product adoption. You'll serve as the lifecycle SME for your assigned area — embedding with product partners, managing a specialist, and bringing a data-driven, client-first perspective to everything you ship.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on: someone who can identify high-impact opportunities, build a compelling business case, and see it through to execution and measurement — without waiting to be asked.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Own lifecycle strategy and execution for Self-directed Investing and Active Traders — serve as the dedicated SME for multiple key product areas, steward campaign performance end-to-end, and develop quarterly lifecycle strategies aligned to business objectives, product roadmaps, and cross-sell goals.

  • Drive cross-sell and product adoption — independently identify high-intent behavioral signals, develop audience definitions using segmentation and propensity data, and ideate and experiment on tactics (promotions, triggers, journeys) that move clients to their next product.

  • Manage and develop a Lifecycle Specialist — set clear expectations, provide direct and timely coaching on fundamentals and analytical skills, create stretch assignments, and address performance gaps proactively rather than avoiding them.

  • Lead rigorous, incrementality-focused experimentation — design clean A/B tests with clear hypotheses, incremental success metrics, success metrics, and control groups; analyze results independently; translate results into clear business impact; share learnings cross-functionally; and advocate for killing underperforming programs and reinvesting that frequency budget elsewhere.

  • Improve and evolve lifecycle infrastructure — design scalable, evergreen programs and partners to enhance instrumentation, automation, and personalization capabilities that unlock long-term growth.

  • Embed with your product partners — join product team rituals, contribute a lifecycle perspective to planning and prioritization conversations, and raise lifecycle implications of product decisions before they become problems — not after.

  • Work in an AI-native way — actively apply AI tools across the full campaign lifecycle (briefs, copy, segmentation logic, QA, reporting summaries), identify where AI reduces manual effort or improves quality in recurring workflows; comfort with MCP-connected tooling and AI-assisted workflows is an asset.

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing or marketing automation, with demonstrated ability to independently lead strategic initiatives from brief to measurement; supervisory experience required

  • Hands-on experience in Braze or an equivalent enterprise ESP/marketing automation platform; strong command of segmentation, dynamic content, multi-channel journey orchestration, and A/B testing

  • Solid analytical skills — comfortable pulling and interpreting campaign performance data, sizing audiences, and structuring experiment results into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders

  • Proven cross-functional collaboration skills — you earn trust with Product, PMM, and Data partners by showing up prepared, communicating proactively, and bringing lifecycle insight to the table early

  • Comfortable in a high-velocity environment, balancing multiple concurrent campaigns, product launches, and experiments across channels — prioritizing ruthlessly, adapting quickly when timelines or requirements shift, and maintaining execution quality under pressure.

  • Demonstrated AI fluency in a marketing context — you regularly use AI tools to accelerate your work, apply good judgment about when and how to use them, and you take accountability for the output; experience with AI-assisted workflows (briefs, QA, reporting, segmentation) is a strong plus

*For this specific role, passion/ knowledge or experience as an active trader is encouraged.
