Relationship Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work the entire sales cycle of the targeted segment, by making contact through calls, email, video, and text messages
- Nurture and educate new leads, to uncover, qualify and convert them into new actively trading clients
- Reach out to segmented sets of existing clients, to increase our share of wallet and establish Wealthsimple as their primary trading service provider
- Sell through a “needs based approach” by uncovering client needs, and then positioning our products and services as the solution
- Develop, nurture, and manage relationships with our active trader clients, so as to increase their engagement level, cross sell new products and services, thereby reducing downstream attrition
- Identify and capture new cross sell opportunities for other areas of the business through daily client interactions
- Create targeted lists of prospects and experiment with new segments
- Provide feedback to Leadership, Product, and Marketing on the existing product offering, helping to prioritize future product development
- Achieve monthly/quarterly quotas and daily productivity KPIs via calls, email, video, and text messages
- Work in a team environment, backing up and supporting other team members as needed
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Has a deep desire to help people, with the passion to focus on the client to improve their wellbeing
- Naturally curious and is eager to understand each client's needs to uncover the root of their problem
- Understand the active trader client segment, and can proficiently converse as a subject matter expert
- Takes ownership to identity client trends and builds highly targeted lists of prospective clients
- Is accountable and responsible, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment, while remaining motivated to work through the required daily sales activities
- Is goal oriented and has experience working and delivering against hard targets
- Strong communicator with the ability to conduct strong discovery calls to effectively uncover a prospective client’s pain points and goals
- Is process oriented to manage a sales pipeline and book of clients diligently and proactively, to nurture and follow up with new opportunities
- Can demonstrate resourcefulness to persevere in the face of adversity, and to be creative with solutioning to attain quota in an unexpected down period
- 3 - 5 years experience in a similar sales or relationship management role
- 1 - 3 years experience in financial services or personal investing
