What you will do:
- Administer and maintain our Jira instance, including user/group management, permission schemes, workflows, and custom fields
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement customized Jira projects, boards, and dashboards that address diverse team requirements while managing integrations with third-party applications
- Develop comprehensive documentation and provide responsive user support, training, and troubleshooting across all organizational levels
- Partner with stakeholders to identify inefficiencies, implement process improvements, and create automation rules to streamline routine tasks
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to evaluate, test, and deploy appropriate Marketplace apps while monitoring system health and optimizing performance
- Plan and execute data migrations during upgrades, and generate customized reports to provide meaningful metrics to leadership
Who you are:
- Typically requires 5+ years of experience administering Jira at the enterprise level, with demonstrated expertise in cloud-based Jira instances
- Strong technical proficiency with workflow design, custom fields, permission schemes, and advanced JQL (Jira Query Language)
- Deep understanding of Atlassian best practices, optimization techniques, and platform governance
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into effective Jira configurations
- Excellent communication skills with experience providing technical training and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated with strong project management abilities and attention to detail
- Experience with Agile/Shape Up methodologies and ScriptRunner for Jira
- Atlassian certifications preferred (e.g., Atlassian Certified Professional - Jira Administrator)
