The IP Marketing Team’s goal is to create unrivaled demand for Wattpad Originals stories from our top creators by harnessing the power of the Wattpad community and data to build, nurture and grow audiences and fandoms. We then engage and mobilize these audiences to support our creators as a top-tier story’s lifecycle evolves from a Wattpad story into a published book, film, TV series, or other exciting IP formats.
Wattpad is seeking a proactive Marketing Coordinator who is both strategic and innovative. Reporting to the IP Marketing Manager, you will collaborate with team members across the company to launch and support priority stories throughout their lifecycle. In this role, you will assist in implementing innovative strategies and programs to grow IPs at scale and help create the next Big Hits in the Filipino market.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented marketer who blends analytical skills with creative thinking. You will collaborate across teams to support the execution of lifecycle marketing campaigns and initiatives that activate the entire reader funnel—focusing on awareness, engagement, monetization, and retention. With strong organizational and communication skills, you will ensure that initiatives run smoothly and contribute to the growth of priority creators and stories.
What you'll be doing:
- Lifecycle Marketing: Execute lifecycle initiatives across multiple channels and track performance metrics to uncover optimization opportunities. Evaluate key factors such as channel mix, messaging, creative strategies, and targeting to enhance overall effectiveness.
- Campaign Management: Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to implement multi-channel campaigns, facilitating the briefing, approval, and trafficking of creative assets. Ensure campaigns launch smoothly and on schedule, while maintaining alignment with strategic objectives and brand standards.
- Story Performance Analysis: Assist the Marketing Manager in tracking and evaluating story performance by gathering and analyzing data to uncover insights and trends. Highlight which initiatives are driving results and suggest actionable optimizations in alignment with overall goals. Monitor the market closely to identify local trends.
- Documentation and Operations:
- Document results and insights from campaigns and initiatives, maintaining an organized repository of learnings.
- Keep the activity calendar for Wattpad Originals up to date by collaborating with various channel owners to ensure all activities are accurately reflected and scheduled.
- Assist with operational tasks to keep marketing programs running smoothly and effectively.
What we're looking for:
- A highly engaged Wattpadder! Passion for the platform, Wattpad stories, and their creators is a must.
- Fluency in Tagalog and English, and a strong understanding of the Filipino market are essential. Candidates must be located in The Philippines and able to occasionally join key meetings in the Eastern time zone (Toronto) within reason.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, with 1-2 years of relevant professional experience (internships included).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in data analysis and dashboard creation to drive data-informed decisions that enhance campaign performance.
Wattpad is conducting all interviews in a distributed manner using applicable third party software where needed and using visual interface tools such as Google Meet and Zoom.
