Job Purpose:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety programs specific to our Class 100 cleanroom environment. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with industry regulations and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.
YOUR Day-to-day Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures aligned with industry regulations and standards specific to semiconductor manufacturing and cleanroom operations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the cleanroom and associated facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the production team to promote best practices in health and safety, providing guidance on cleanroom protocols, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe handling of hazardous materials.
- Facilitate safety training sessions and workshops for employees, ensuring that all staff are knowledgeable about safety procedures, emergency response, and their responsibilities within the cleanroom.
- Analyze incident reports, investigate accidents, and recommend corrective actions to improve safety performance.
- Monitor the effectiveness of health and safety programs, making continuous improvements based on feedback and regulatory changes.
- Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies regarding health and safety matters.
TOOLs/Skills you need for your role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional) are a plus.
- Proven experience in health and safety management within a cleanroom or semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cleanroom standards (e.g., ISO 14644) and industry-specific regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on developing effective safety solutions.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
