Your Opportunity at VueReal:

The “game changer” opportunities are rare and we are working on one of them at VueReal. When we are done with what we are developing, the entire technology landscape will have changed forever and every single team member at VueReal will look back and say “I was a major part of it.”

We take huge pride in our team and its achievements such as being the first team to make 7000 ppi microLED array and top it by 30000 ppi, the first team that has made a highly efficient sub 10 micrometer microLED, the first team to make a true printing microLED solution, being named one of the top ten Scale-up companies in Canada, and even more that we cannot talk about publicly.

As a Semiconductor Process Integration Engineer, you will ensure that high-quality products are delivered. This position focuses on process and schedule ownership, monitoring semiconductor wafer process metrics, and implementing corrective procedures.

Who YOU are:

You are a driven and passionate engineer who is very good at solving problems with practical and innovative solutions, is detail-oriented, and has a good eye for catching anomalies. You are good at communicating with the team and play well in a multidisciplinary team environment.

YOUR TYPICAL DAY upon integration:

  • Support the launch and tracking of wafer lots, monitoring process data under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Collaborate with the team leads to understand requirements and communicate schedules.
  • Assist in the transition and maintenance of manufacturing infrastructure (SPC, route definition, etc.) to support microLED wafer and display backplane production in a cleanroom environment.
  • Assist in communicating with external vendors to expedite lot processing during the manufacturing process.
  • Participate in setting measurement points for each lot and assist in collecting, monitoring, and reporting measured data throughout the semiconductor wafer process.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts by identifying areas for potential enhancements to product yield, throughput, and cost efficiency, under the direction of process engineers.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance microLED device performance and display system reliability.
  • Help define and document rework procedures to minimize the time wafers spend on hold, ensuring efficient process flow.
  • Act as lot owners who launch wafer lots, track progress and monitor process data. Work with VueReal team leads and external customers to determine how many lots are needed to meet customer requirements and communicate the schedule.
  • Set measurement points for each lot and collect, monitor, and report the measured points over the entire semiconductor wafer process
  • Drive continuous process improvements to maximize product yield, throughput, and cost savings in collaboration with process engineers
  • Identify process improvements to improve microLED device and display system performance as well as technical and business risks for all projects
  • Define rework procedures and minimize the wafer process time spent on hold

TOOLs/Skills you need for your role:

  • Ph.D. - Materials Science, Electrical Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Nanotechnology, Physics
  • Strong understanding and demonstration of semiconductor manufacturing and metrology techniques in a cleanroom (MES, Gage R&R, SPC, DOE, etc.)
  • Data analysis skills utilizing JMP, Python, MATLAB, or equivalent, including but not limited to process metrology data, optical device performance, and electrical characterization

TOOLs/Skills that are helpful for your role:

  • Hands-on industry experience in wafer processing (especially III-V)
  • 3+ years of semiconductor integration experience and III-V semiconductor optical device design

VueReal Story:

VueReal has developed a breakthrough technology in building millions of micro/nanodevices and printing them efficiently into a large surface area. This platform is the key enabler of next-generation systems for the consumer, environmental, industrial, automotive, security, autonomy, medical, and healthcare sectors.

VueReal's solution has been validated by major companies such as automotive, consumer electronics, and equipment vendors. These activities led to successful business expansion and enabled VueReal to become a supplier of critical devices in North America. This fabrication platform will impact several industries, including consumer electronics. We have aggressive growth plans across the board.

More importantly, the printing aspect of the technology makes it more efficient in material utilization leading to a significant reduction in environmental hazardous emissions and water consumption. Furthermore, higher-performance microdevices contribute to lower power consumption, resulting in substantial environmental benefits.
