Vizimax is looking for an Applications Engineer for complex electrical systems. In this role, you’ll provide client, sales, and commissioning support on an international scale (high- and medium-voltage substations, wind farms, high-voltage industrial installations, etc.).
The position is open to recent graduates as well as experienced professionals with hands-on expertise in high-voltage networks or substations.
A willingness to travel internationally (usually one week, rarely two or three, a few times a year) is essential. Additionally, availability outside normal working hours is sometimes required for project commissioning in various time zones (planned a few weeks in advance).
What we’re looking for :
Skills and qualifications :
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent (including high-voltage knowledge)
- Flexible and able to work under pressure, including providing remote client support in inconvenient time zones (e.g., Asia)
- Good communicator, fluent in written and spoken French and English
- Client-oriented with excellent diplomacy skills
- Analytical mindset and an aptitude for applied mathematics
- Interest in international projects and eligibility for global travel (Canadian passport required for visa purposes)
Key assets :
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
- Knowledge of another major language is an asset (e.g. Spanish, Mandarin).
