As the market leader in people analytics, workforce planning, organizational design, and manager effectiveness solutions, we fuel smarter decision-making for organizations across the globe. Our mission is to help businesses lead with insight at scale as they continuously transform.
Founded in 2010 by the pioneers of business intelligence, we have over 85,000 customers in 75 countries—including enterprises like BASF, Panasonic, Domino’s Pizza, Experian, Amgen, eBay, and Ford Motor Company.
As a Sr. BI Analyst at Visier, you are a high-level technical lead sitting at the intersection of internal operations and product innovation. You serve as a strategic consultant to our People & Culture (P&C) leadership, transforming complex workforce data into the narratives that drive our global business strategy.
This is a compelling role. We aren’t just looking for someone to build internal dashboards; you are a "product-minded" analyst who understands how data translates into the insights Visier needs to make informed talent and business decisions. You’ll learn the industry-leading people analytics platform and then consult with the business to identify impactful use cases and insights. You’ll help define the "why" and the "what’s next" for both our leadership and the People and Culture team to make sure we’re always ‘drinking our champagne’.
This role is based out of our Yaletown office in downtown Vancouver.
What you will be doing:
- Strategic Consultation & Advisory: Act as a key consultant to the P&C team and senior leadership. You will take high-level, strategic objectives and required insights and independently define, design, and deliver the project and technical deliverables required to meet them.
- Independent Project Leadership: Successfully manage projects and technical assignments of large and complex scope. You will work without supervision, leading the end-to-end evaluation of our data model and workforce trends while ensuring project outcomes align with objectives.
- Product & AI Innovation: Champion innovation by partnering with Product teams to drive technical changes. You will identify complex data signals and "intangibles" from our internal workforce and business data to influence new product features and validate the effectiveness of our workforce AI models.
- Advanced Data Governance: Demonstrate independent judgment in maintaining a "single source of truth." You will resolve complex issues regarding data integrity across Workday, Peakon, and our proprietary Visier People Application using creative and highly effective solutions.
- Strategic Insight Synthesis: Translate high-level business challenges into sophisticated data narratives. You will apply an advanced level of analysis to turnover, sentiment, and headcount data to provide in-depth evaluations that impact overall organization success.
- Optimizing Operational Delivery: Drive operational efficiency by collaborating with the internal teams to track performance metrics and ensure the timely execution of all departmental deliverables.
- High Influence: Serve as a product champion by driving internal adoption of Visier People and ensuring platform insights are a foundational element of all departmental decision-making.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Advanced Experience: 6+ years in a BI or Data Analytics role, with a record of resolving complex issues in creative ways within a SaaS or HR Tech environment.
- Technical Mastery & Leadership: Advanced-level SQL and deep expertise in data visualization. You lead by example and may function as a lead for cross-functional work groups.
- Independent Judgment: A proven ability to work without supervision, applying advanced analysis to resolve complex situations where multiple variable factors are at play.
- Strategic Impact: A track record of taking initiative to drive process or technical changes across a business. You are seen as a subject matter expert who can influence the thinking of stakeholders.
- Domain Expertise: Advanced understanding of HR metrics and the HR tech stack (Workday, Greenhouse, etc.), coupled with an expert-level ability to evangelize the "Visier Way" of people analytics.
- AI Edge: A strategic understanding of how Machine Learning models consume data and the foresight to drive the future of AI-driven workforce insights.
