Job description – Inside Sales Engineer

The Inside Sales Engineer supports the internal sales team and plays a key role in the Aerospace & Defense entry-level sales process. Responsibilities include quotations, order and shipment coordination, payment collection & follow ups, customer communication, MRO revenue support, marketing assistance, and logistics/documentation execution.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Sales Support

  • Quotation preparation, order processing, and shipment execution, as applicable
  • Track OEM and MRO quote submissions and proactive PO follow-up
  • Payment follow up & collections

Sales Process Management

  • Prepare detailed commercial and technical quotations, including budgetary offers
  • Handle complete order booking for both internal and external transactions (Customer – AMETEK India – BU – AMETEK India – Customer)
  • Manage INR orders, manage USD orders, prepare EUC/CDR documentation as required
  • Coordinate with customers for import/export license applications.
  • Maintain sales logs, transaction records, and updated customer lists for local sales reporting.
  • Conduct payment follow-ups, including customer visits when necessary.
  • Arrange documents such as OA, PI, Invoice, Commercial documentation, etc.
  • Prepare and submit tender documentation.
  • Manage EMD/BG/PBG arrangements
  • Handle portal submissions for CPP, GeM, ISRO, DRDO, and other online tendering platforms
  • Follow up for payment reminders and collections in coordination with finance.

Logistics Coordination

  • Track and manage internal and external shipment processes to ensure timely delivery
  • Support invoice preparation (INR and USD) and ensure accuracy
  • Coordinate logistics for demos, conferences, and workshops
  • Update demo equipment records and maintain accurate tracking

Marketing Support

  • Manage and execute territory (India & South-East Asia) email marketing campaigns
  • Assist in planning and coordinating online marketing and promotional activities
