We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Owner to join our Montreal-based client for a permanent role. You will be responsible for driving the product backlog and technical solution for B2C Digital Solutions based on business priorities and features as defined by working with the Business stakeholders and the Program manager. Your ability to translate business objectives into actionable technical tasks will be key to driving the success of our products.

This is a hybrid role, and the candidate must work from the Montreal office 3 days/ week.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with business goals, with a strong focus on the technical feasibility and execution by the development team.
  • Backlog Management: Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, working hand-in-hand with the development team to break down features into detailed user stories and tasks that are ready for implementation.
  • Technical Partnership: Serve as the primary liaison between the development team and stakeholders, providing technical insights and ensuring a shared understanding of product requirements and goals.
  • Development Collaboration: Engage deeply with the development team to facilitate agile processes, remove roadblocks, and ensure that technical solutions align with the product vision.
  • Release Planning: Work closely with the development team to plan, coordinate, and execute product releases, ensuring all technical dependencies are managed and timelines are met.
  • Performance Monitoring: Collaborate with the development team to analyze product performance using relevant metrics and data, identifying technical areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • User Experience Focus: Ensure that the development process is user-centric, emphasizing the importance of end-user needs and experiences in technical decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster an environment of continuous improvement within the development team, encouraging innovation and efficiency in product development processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with product management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Miro).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.
  • Passion for technology and a deep understanding of industry trends.
