The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our Wire Fraud Operations team, reporting to the Director - Software Development. In this role, you’ll help shape how we deliver the next generation of wire solutions with one product for all customers. You’ll lead initiatives that improve performance and resiliency, collaborate across teams to drive innovation, and contribute to projects that enhance security and efficiency in wire operations!

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to active projects, including building pre-compute feature pipelines.

  • Lead specific initiatives from planning through execution.

  • Drive runtime performance improvements and reduce latency across systems.

  • Support disaster recovery and resiliency efforts to maintain system integrity.

  • Work with teams across Enterprise Payments Performance, Consortium Data Framework, and Analytics to align and deliver.

  • Resolve cases efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in Software Development, DevOps, or related technical fields.

  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming (Java preferred)

  • Experience with AWS, Terraform, and distributed computing technologies

  • Experience with microservices, data lakes, and automated testing

  • Working knowledge of SQL and familiarity with Python and Scala/EMR

  • Great communicator who works well in collaborative, global environments.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of EDP would be an asset

  • Familiarity with big data tools like Hadoop and Spark.

This position will be located in St. John's or Toronto, and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
