We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our Salesforce team, reporting to the Director, Software Development. In this role, you’ll help shape how we build scalable tools and processes that drive business decisions and enhance how teams work across Nasdaq Verafin.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and deliver end‑to‑end Salesforce features — including analysis, UI components, customization, testing, release, and ongoing support.

• Implement Salesforce Lightning components and manage SFDC data to ensure high‑quality user experience, system performance, and data integrity.

• Lead Salesforce DevOps practices, build automation frameworks, and create test strategies to improve deployment efficiency and code quality.

• Troubleshoot application issues, monitor system performance, and drive continuous improvements through innovation and process optimization.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, maintain clear documentation, and actively participate in Scrum ceremonies with a positive, solutions‑focused approach.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience, with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

• 3+ years of Salesforce development experience with deep expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, SOQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Proven ability to design and implement complex Salesforce solutions, including custom applications, integrations, and performance optimizations.

• Strong knowledge of integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events), OOP principles, design patterns, and modern web technologies.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, effectively partnering with cross‑functional teams

Nice to Have

• Advanced Salesforce expertise demonstrated through Platform Developer II (or similar) certification, with familiarity across key Clouds such as Sales, Service, and Experience Cloud.

• Experience working in regulated or SaaS environments with exposure to broader development and architecture best practices.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum) and ability to collaborate effectively in iterative development cycles.

This position can be located in St. John’s, NL, or Toronto and offers a hybrid work environment with at least three days a week in the office, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
