Our Procurement & A/P Product Manager reports to our Portfolio Leader for Finance & Workplace. You will manage the related products, as well as product delivery leads and business analysts supporting these efforts.
Role Responsibilities:
As a Senior Manager – Product Manager for Procurement & A/P, you will be responsible for products supporting these operational teams, playing a key role in Finance Transformation efforts. You will define the product vision and roadmap, investing in and developing capabilities to build efficient and transparent Procurement and A/P processes, fostering a culture of openness and transparency.
In this role, you will partner with a global team to manage strategy, development, and delivery for Procurement & A/P, balancing stakeholder needs, financial viability, and technical feasibility throughout the product lifecycle
- Ensure Strategic Alignment: Align products and processes with strategic objectives, developing and driving the long-term vision, value proposition, and thematic goals. Understand client needs, product requirements, and the market, translating them into measurable outcomes.
- Execute the Vision: Translate product strategy into a clear roadmap, metrics, and desired functionality for stakeholders. Drive development, launch, and continual support and improvement, interpreting market trends to identify new opportunities. Influence a global team to achieve set objectives by executing the product strategy and roadmap.
- Measure Success: Lead the creation and review of key metrics, outcomes, and reporting related to milestones and objectives. Monitor metrics to ensure product viability, desirability, and feasibility. Prepare comprehensive overviews of progress against strategic goals, analyzing key performance metrics, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop actionable plans. Conduct quarterly business reviews to ensure alignment with overall strategy.
- Manage the ecosystem: Collaborate with key stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle, managing relationships and coordinating product features with other Finance pillars. Focus on innovation and engage stakeholders in risk identification and mitigation. Manage risks and the impact of the product strategy and roadmap.
- Develop talent: Create a self-organizing, autonomous, cross-functional team with a shared understanding of product goals and strategy. Encourage experimentation, foster continued learning, and maintain tight feedback loops. Lead and mentor the product management team, leveraging agile principles to optimize talent development.
- Direct priorities: Lead planning, prioritization, improvement, and management activities for products to provide clients with the best value for their investment. Reevaluate business value delivered and reprioritize work as appropriate. Manage funding and align capacity with demand to optimize resources across products.
We expect you to have:
- At least 10 years of experience with a combination of product development and Finance, preferably with Procurement and A/P processes and systems.
- At least 2 plus years working as an Agile Product leader and implementing agile ways of working
- Financial services experience a plus and knowledge of Coupa and/or Workday is preferred.
- Lead by example: Champion the team, partners, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment around overall strategy and direction of the product. Attend team demos and team ceremonies (as invited) and model strong leadership behaviours.
- Education: Degree qualified in Business / Finance or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
