The Business Operations Analyst role within the Global Index Business Services team focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and managing change to support the growing Index business.

This position involves analyzing current operations and assists in identifying areas for improvement with a strong focus in intellectual property protection. The Operations Analyst collaborates with management, various Index teams, and partners such as Legal, Compliance, and Marketing to support the development of strategic frameworks and ensure scalable processes that drive organizational growth and deliver consistent value to stakeholders.

  • Create and maintain organized documentation systems for processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Help track action items from meetings and projects, sending timely reminders to stakeholders about upcoming deadlines.
  • Take detailed notes during meetings and distribute clear, organized summaries highlighting key decisions and next steps.
  • Proactively identify potential challenges, address stakeholder concerns, and foster open communication to support a seamless transition.
  • Assist processes by gathering data, preparing reports, and participating in stakeholder discussions.
  • Help identify potential process improvements and contribute ideas to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Assist in monitoring potential trademark violations and help document infringement cases.
  • Support operational improvement projects by tracking timelines, coordinating tasks, and helping to deliver project components.
  • Create reports, data visualizations and presentations to help illustrate findings and recommendations.
  • Monitor potential obstacles during implementation and collect feedback from stakeholders.
  • Development of communication materials and training resources.

Education, Certification and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in business analysis, professional services, or a similar field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields such as Business, Finance, Legal or a similar discipline.
  • Experience with intellectual property matters, including monitoring trademark portfolios and investigation of potential infringement cases.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, facilitate cross-functional coordination, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Great attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate, and data-driven deliverables.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Highly organized with effective time management skills.

Skills Needed:

  • Identify basic operational issues and contribute to solution development.
  • Analyze business challenges by collecting information and organizing data.
  • Assist with organizing and structuring undefined requests into clear, actionable items.

  • Build foundational knowledge in specific business areas to begin developing subject matter expertise that supports team objectives.
  • Demonstrate proactive thinking by identifying potential issues before they arise and suggesting preventive measures to team leaders.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and take initiative in carrying tasks forward to completion.

This position can be located in Atlanta, and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment (at least 2 days a week in office, subject to change), providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

The base pay range for this role is $78,300 - $130,500. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
