Job Description
This is an on site role based in our Lachine office
We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to help design and implement cutting-edge automation solutions. In this role, you'll create intuitive front-end interfaces, develop robust back-end functionalities, and design control systems for robotic applications. You'll play a key part in enhancing automation workflows, providing client support, and ensuring seamless integration of hardware and software. More specifically, you will:
- Create intuitive and user-friendly front-end interfaces that enable operators to efficiently control and monitor robotic and automated cell applications.
- Develop back-end functionalities using Python to support automation workflows, ensuring seamless integration between user interfaces, robotic systems, and the underlying hardware.
- Design and implement code to control gantries, conveyors, grippers, sensors, and other devices, coordinating their operation with the robots for smooth and synchronized performance.
- Continuously improve control programs to enhance the speed, accuracy, and reliability of automation cells while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Provide actionable feedback to the relevant teams (Product, Applications, Sales, Marketing) to ensure that lessons learned from the delivery process are effectively addressed, preventing similar issues in future projects.
- Provide post-comissioning client support.
- Create and refine the documentation related to the Delivery process, to ultimately hand off the execution to different teams
- Support the pre-sale process with testing and product expertise
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a fast-paced work environment
- Advanced experience with Javascript and React. Python is an asset
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
- Proactive problem solver, capable of identifying/reporting issues and generating solutions
- Attention to detail in the context of customer satisfaction
- Able to travel no more than 25% of the time, between Canada and United States
- Ability to split time 75% Lachine office and 25% St Henri office
