Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer at Vention, you will work on the e-commerce and operation team. Depending on the task, you can work on our financial system one day and our e-commerce cart the next day. The role will require technical chops, agility and technical leadership. You will significantly impact one of the most visible software of Vention as this team manages our website, vention.io.

What you’ll be doing

• Depending on your expertise, you will build a new frontend architecture or help us create a performant backend.
• Provide technical oversight on the new projects Vention has in its pipeline and share new ideas on improving our software stacks.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team members by sharing your knowledge and experience and helping foster Vention’s culture.
• Collaborating with engineers and other organizational stakeholders to answer Vention’s customer needs.
• Triaging and resolving service disruption that can impact employees and customers alike.

Qualifications

What you bring to the team

• Experience building performant web applications, either from the frontend or the backend.
• Passion for technology, a commitment to continuous learning, and always getting better at your craft.
• Strong technical background in engineering solid systems that answer the customers’ needs.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with other technical teams and stakeholders at Vention.
