Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for leading our team of application/sales engineers and driving technical sales efforts across the EMEA region.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coach a team of application engineers, deployment and customer success specialists across the EMEA region, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their success and development.
  • Qualify projects and support the sales team with project feasibility checks, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and technical capabilities.
  • Contribute to client designs using Vention’s MachineBuilder platform.
  • Drive effective 1:1s with team members to provide guidance, support professional development, and address any concerns or challenges.
  • Complete evaluations including technical assessments, business reviews, and yearly performance reviews to ensure team members are meeting objectives and targets.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new team members, providing comprehensive training and support to integrate them into the team effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects within the team, identifying areas for optimization and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prospect potential Engineers, actively seeking out talented individuals to join the team and contribute to our success.
  • Review Application Engineers’ work including designs, diagrams, and custom parts, providing constructive feedback to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  • Listen to and assist with calls, providing feedback and support to both team members and clients to drive successful outcomes.
  • Brainstorm, teach, and support Engineers with technical and call know-how, fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.
  • Collaborate closely with customers at flagship manufacturing companies to understand their requirements and propose effective solutions using our innovative technologies.
  • Provide technical support to clients and engineers, addressing inquiries about our products and conducting design reviews to ensure optimal solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives during client demonstrations, offering technical expertise to effectively showcase our solutions' capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in technical sales within the manufacturing industry, focusing on automation and robotics solutions.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software, and a strong understanding of mechanical and automation design principles (pneumatic, machining, PLC, etc).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach to sales and support.
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor teams to achieve their goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of automation and robotics technologies, with a track record of successfully implementing complex solutions.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the industries, particularly in the integrator world, with a strong understanding of industry trends and customer needs.
  • Fluent in English and German or English and French, with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with project management is a plus, demonstrating the ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and customer support is a plus, with a proactive approach to addressing customer needs and ensuring satisfaction
