About the Job
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying high-potential vertical prospects through both inbound and outbound efforts. In this role, you will develop highly qualified leads by researching key industries, engaging decision-makers, and conducting in-depth discovery to assess needs and product-market fit.
You will become an expert in cold-calling techniques, inbound lead qualification, Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies, and referral partnerships, leveraging these tactics to source new partner opportunities. Your goal is to build trust with qualified prospects and book meetings for our Account Executives (AEs), ultimately driving growth for our partner program.
Your Impact
As a Business Development Representative, you’ll collaborate with the Sales team and Account Executives to:
- Develop & Cultivate a Target Prospect List:
- Conduct industry research to identify and maintain a list of highly targeted vertical prospects.
- Qualify and manage inbound leads from marketing campaigns, website inquiries, and referrals.
- Engage, Qualify & Book Demos/Meetings:
- Conduct discovery calls to assess prospect needs and product fit.
- Respond quickly to inbound leads and nurture outbound prospects through multi-channel outreach.
- Build Trust & Industry Expertise:
- Develop a deep understanding of the industry, including key challenges and emerging trends.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential partners through effective communication and relationship-building strategies.
What You Bring to the Table
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to effectively engage and qualify potential partners. With 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field, preferably within a SaaS or technology environment, you are comfortable conducting research, identifying key business opportunities, and driving engagement through outbound efforts. You are proficient in CRM systems and sales software and have a strong ability to problem-solve, analyze trends, and optimize sales processes. Experience with cold calling, email outreach, and social media engagement is essential, and familiarity with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies or B2B sales is a plus.
