About the Job

As Vendasta expands globally, safeguarding customer data, maintaining SaaS integrity, and navigating complex security and compliance landscapes is more critical than ever. The VP of IT & Security will lead the development and implementation of world-class security strategies that embed risk management, compliance, and operational excellence into every layer of the organization.
This role will be responsible for driving SOC II audit readiness, scaling security measures for future acquisitions, and enhancing compliance capacity for global privacy frameworks such as PIPEDA, GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA. Success in this role will require a blend of strategic vision, hands-on execution, and cultural leadership to foster a proactive security culture across the organization.

Your Impact

As the VP of IT & Security, you will:

• Lead and inspire cultural transformation, championing a security-first mindset across the company.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive IT & Security strategy, ensuring data security, compliance, and system reliability on a global scale.
• Prepare Vendasta for SOC II audit readiness, ensuring best-in-class security practices.
• Integrate security and risk management into product development, engineering, and corporate operations, making security a core business enabler rather than a barrier.
• Develop and oversee security measures for future acquisitions, ensuring seamless integration with Vendasta’s existing infrastructure.
• Enhance compliance capacity with privacy regulations including PIPEDA, POPI, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and drive governance initiatives that support secure and scalable operations.
• Strengthen IT operations, optimizing execution, improving system resilience, and ensuring efficient and scalable security frameworks.
  

What You Bring to the Table

• Proven executive leadership experience in IT & Security, preferably in a high-growth global organization.
• Strong operational expertise, with a track record of improving executional focus and driving efficiency in IT & security teams.
• Deep knowledge of security and compliance frameworks, including SOC II, GDPR, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards.
• Demonstrated success in leading cultural transformation, embedding security into every layer of an organization.
• Experience building and leading high-performing security and IT teams, driving strategic initiatives and fostering a culture of innovation.
• Ability to navigate complex security challenges, prioritize initiatives effectively, and deliver measurable impact.
