Job Description
We are looking for a talented Carbon Data Expert with a passion for sustainability to join our team. The ideal candidate will have advanced project management skills with a strong background in carbon metrics data analysis. They will be responsible for piloting methodology research and maintenance initiatives supporting EcoVadis’ Carbon Data Network development. Collection, analysis, quality and interpretation of carbon data are essential skills to ensure actionable and reliable insights are provided to EcoVadis customers. As a team player, the candidate will actively participate in EcoVadis products and services development, ensuring the highest data quality and trust in the Carbon Data Network.
The Senior Carbon Data Analyst key responsibilities include:
Project management: Coordinate methodology R&D and maintenance initiatives with product & methodology peers in line with timeline.
Database Management: Develop and maintain databases and data management systems to effectively store and manage carbon data and corresponding requests.
Data Analysis: Analyze carbon performance metrics, such as carbon emissions, energy usage and target progress etc., to identify trends, patterns, and areas for data quality improvement to increase the accuracy of validation results.
Proxy Data Modeling: Create and maintain methodology to model carbon data proxies at company & product level for sectors where data might be incomplete. Document methodologies, assumptions and sources used for proxy modeling. Proficiency with AI-based tools is an asset.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in data-driven project coordination roles, with a focus on ESG and sustainability data.
- Preferably Master’s degree with focus on Sustainability as a plus
- Advanced understanding of corporate-level & product-level GHG accounting standards & decarbonization-related regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Advanced organizational & communication skills, with the ability to synthesize findings; steer discussions and make actionable recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in Data Science is an asset, particularly data quality management, machine learning and proficiency with analysis tools, such as Excel, Databricks, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Passion for sustainability and carbon stewardship, with a desire to make a positive impact through data-driven solutions.
